Support desk migration and infrastructure update for legal practice

About This Project

What was the challenge/objective?

The client faced several challenges, including inadequate support, unresponsiveness, a lack of proactivity and subpar advice from previous suppliers.

The on-site technology infrastructure was disorganised and stored in the boardroom, which was often used for client meetings. This arrangement posed a risk of creating a negative impression on clients and contacts during visits.

The client understood the importance of proactively addressing compliance issues by aligning strategies with industry and insurance regulations. They realised that enhancing their security standards would allow them to obtain quotes from more insurance providers, some of which require a minimum security standard. This could lead to better insurance renewal rates, and they needed help to meet these standards.

What was the solution?

Firstly, we successfully migrated the client as a support desk client, transitioning their operations to our platform while ensuring minimal disruption.

Next, we tidied up the server cabinet, organising and optimising the equipment, removing any unnecessary kit and streamlining the setup to make it presentable and manageable for future maintenance and upgrades.

We enhanced security measures across the client’s systems by aligning them with industry-standard practices, including the implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA). This step helps reduce the risk of unauthorised access and supports compliance with high data security standards. Additionally, we delivered security awareness training to their staff, equipping them with the knowledge to better identify and respond to potential threats.

What were the results?

The organisation is now assured of receiving guidance on leveraging technology for optimal results, significantly contributing to their overall sense of security and confidence.

Additionally, the transition to our services was seamlessly managed, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.

By meeting rigorous industry standards, the firm is well positioned to meet the requirements of its third-party insurance providers. The organisation can now rest assured that a reliable and trusted partner supports its efforts to minimise the need for claims.

Overall, these outcomes have aligned them for greater success and growth in the future.

“We have been with Exi-Go since 2020 and have had virtually no interruptions to our systems since that point. They are proactive with virus and spam protection, and sourcing of hardware is also reasonable. They fight our corner regarding third party licences, and they are a bunch of very nice people.”
